Chris Kohler over at Wired Magazine did a nice job reporting on Bill's passing.  Here is the link to the article: http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/09/bill-kunkel-dies/all/1

I'm thankful that after a slower start, many other sites had picked up on the news.  I've seen notices on Game Informer, 1UP, Joystiq, Gamasutra and more, so I'm happy to see gaming news sites recognizing a pioneer of the practice.

I noticed it on GamePolitics and Escapist as well.  Interesting note, I've seen some of our competitors edit Bill's background to drop the fact that he was a partner at J2Games.com.  What a shame people can be so petty.

To be honest, very few of the notices make any mention to his involvement at J2Games.  I've seen maybe two that mention it.

I'm sure Bill would be pleased by the coverage he is getting. I want to mention, by and large, I have never seen this kind of response from the games media before. It's one last tribute that cements in stone that this man was a pioneer, and maybe even helps elevate him into a category that could best be defined as "legendary".
